Title: Wonders Never Cease

Cain doesn’t know what the thing is for, and he doesn’t want to know. Ambrose is next to the enormous telescope, directing workers around like a symphony conductor and since he looks happy, Cain is happy. As the great dais wheels slowly around, Ambrose spots him and his face lights up, and Cain feels that little glow inside that says ‘I’m home’. He still can’t quite get used to it, doesn’t think he ever will entirely. As Ambrose comes down the steps and drops into his arms, he thinks there’s not one of these machines more magical than its inventor.
